The people behind adeus
Nick Adams
The CEO and a founding member of adeus, bringing over 25 years of leadership experience in high-growth international technology companies. Nick pursued studies in Communications, Advertising, and Marketing (CAM) at Richmond College, which laid the foundation for a successful career in enterprise sales.
Throughout his career, Nick has held senior leadership roles, building and scaling revenue and partner functions across the UK and Europe. In January 2024, he transitioned from corporate leadership to entrepreneurship, founding adeus to bring his own vision to life. As CEO, he now drives the company’s strategic direction and leads its revenue operations.
Mark Hedley
Mark has over 25 years’ experience building businesses, products and teams across diverse sectors and geographies. He held senior global leadership positions for industry leaders including Globalisation Partners (G-P), Korn Ferry, Deutsche Bank, and Citibank before founding adeus with Nick Adams in 2024. Mark has an MBA from Georgetown University and studied international business at undergraduate level in Australia and the USA.
As COO, Mark leads product, technology and operations. He is based in London and has lived and worked on four continents including extended periods in the USA, Singapore, India, South Korea and Australia.
Dr. James Gilleen, PhD, MSc, BSc, SFHEA
A Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, Dr. James Gilleen leads in mental health and psychological therapies. With a PhD from King’s College London and prior degrees from UCL, James has over 15 years’ experience in neuropsychology and neuropsychiatry.
He has published widely, with over 50 research outputs and 1,400+ citations, and has contributed evidence to UK Government reports. He holds an honorary position at King’s College London. James joins adeus as our Qualified Research Advisor.

Who founded adeus and why?
Nick Adams and Mark Hedley launched Adeus in 2024 to modernise Wills and legacy tools, turning a daunting legal task into a friendly, digital experience.
Where is adeus based and do you operate internationally?
We’re a global remote-first company headquartered in London. Our Wills are currently available for residents of England & Wales, and our digital vault is available globally.
How is adeus preparing for upcoming electronic wills legislation?
Our platform already meets today’s legal standards and will seamlessly upgrade to comply with new e-Aill regulations in 2025 at no extra cost to you.
